Dr. Kronz at Eastside Chiropractic turned my skepticism regarding shockwave therapy into gratitude. I'd dealt with plantar fasciitis in my right foot for nearly six months last year, including a month in a boot, with little relief. Dr. Kronz's attentive, hands-on approach to treatment resolved the occurrence in my left foot in about a quarter of that time. Would have been less time if I found him sooner! The staff is friendly and create a welcoming environment. Highly recommend if you're on the fence about shockwave therapy or in need of a highly effective chiropractor.

Shockwave therapy has saved me! So happy to have found Dr Kronz. Hes enthusiastic open minded and up on the latest advances in his field. We moved to Milwaukee a year ago to help my ailing parents. I had injured my thumbs on a new door that was in our home. It’s curious how injuring ones thumb(s) reveals just how critical they are for day to day activities. I cook, paint, practice yoga and getting compression socks on my mom was not an easy task. It was so painful. Even putting on my own socks and pants hurt! Shooting pains tingingling achey hands… I was panicked! Dr Kronz has been treating my hands for about a month and the pains aches and stiffness have almost completely dissipated. I can do crow pose again shake peoples hands and get a hand massage without wincing or experiencing pain. So grateful to Dr Kronz, his kind and cheerful staff and shockwave. Best present ever!!!

Shockwave Therapy FAQs in Milwaukee

Considering shockwave therapy for persistent pain? Here are answers to common questions about treatment, recovery, and what to expect at East Side Family Chiropractic in Milwaukee.

What is Shockwave Therapy?

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic pressure waves to target certain painful areas of the body. It is commonly used for stubborn tendon and soft-tissue conditions to help relieve pain, support recovery, and improve mobility, without injections or surgery.

What conditions can Shockwave Therapy help treat?

Shockwave therapy may help with conditions such as plantar fasciitis, heel pain, tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy, patellar tendinopathy, and certain shoulder and hip tendon problems. Dr. Spencer Kronz can evaluate your symptoms to determine whether treatment is appropriate for your condition.

Does Shockwave Therapy hurt?

Most patients describe treatment as tapping or pulsing against the skin. Sensitive areas may feel uncomfortable, but the intensity can be adjusted.

How quickly will I notice results?

Some patients notice improvement after their first few treatments, while others experience gradual relief over several weeks. Results depend on your condition, how long you have had symptoms, and your individual response to treatment.

How many Shockwave Therapy treatments will I need?

Most treatment plans involve a series of sessions rather than a single visit. The recommended number depends on your condition and response to therapy. Dr. Kronz will discuss a personalized treatment plan during your evaluation.

Can Shockwave Therapy help plantar fasciitis and heel pain?

Yes. Shockwave therapy is an established treatment option for some patients with persistent plantar fasciitis, especially when other conservative treatments have not provided enough relief. It usually reduces heel pain and makes walking and everyday activities more comfortable.

Can Shockwave Therapy help me avoid surgery?

For certain conditions, shockwave therapy may be considered as part of a non-surgical treatment plan. It offers an option worth discussing before more invasive procedures are considered.

Is Shockwave Therapy safe?

Shockwave therapy is generally well tolerated when used appropriately. It may not be suitable for everyone, so Dr. Kronz will review relevant medical factors and determine whether it is an appropriate treatment option for you.
